Melanie's Pear Berry Delight Recipe! November 13, 2015 09:00

This recipe is a great source of vitamin C, vitamin B6, and potassium. Vary the amount of pear and strawberry to change the texture and taste.

Prep time: 5 minutes
Total time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

    • 1/4 to 1/2 Fresh Pear
    • 1 to 3 Strawberries

Cooking Directions

    1. Wash, peel, and chop the pear.
    2. Wash, hull, and dice the strawberries.
    3. Use the Kidsme Food Scissors to cut and mash the pear.
    4. Use the same scissors to mash and cut the strawberries.
    5. Combine the pear and strawberry, then continue to mash until you reach your desired consistency.
    6. Place the food into our Food Squeezer.

    Kidme offers some amazing resources for moms of new eaters. As an ambassador of their wonderful company, they offered to send me their Food Scissors to try out for free. I had no idea what to expect, but, after using this product, I’m convinced Kidsme has cornered and improved the market for teething and feeding tools.

    I didn’t know what to expect from a pair of Food Scissors, but I was pleasantly surprised by their amazing functionality.

    After cutting up a pear, I used the Food Scissors to cut and mash it up, skin and all.

    This took all of five minutes to completely break down, then it was immediately ready for eating! Wallace loved every bite.

    The Food Scissors from Kidsme are super functional and easy to use. They make feeding your child fun and different, which is a huge bonus since I’m on my third kid and the feeding stage is the hardest for me.

    My Verdict – 10 out of 10!

    This recipe is filled with potassium, vitamin C, and iron. Try and vary the strawberry to banana ratio to mix things up and bring out new flavors.

    Prep time: 5 minutes
    Total time: 10 minutes

    Ingredients

      • 1 to 2 Strawberries
      • 1/2 of a Banana
      • 1 Tbsp Oatmeal Cereal

    Cooking Directions

      1. Wash, hull, and dice the strawberries.
      2. Mash the banana in a small bowl.
      3. Add the strawberries to the bowl and continue to mash together.
      4. Add the oatmeal cereal to the bowl, and mix until combined.
      5. Use with your product of choice. For example, our Food Feeders, Tight Grip Suction Bowl, or even our My Turn Spoon and Fork Set.

      At 5 months old, Wallace is now ready for solid foods (insert tears here). I’d been wondering how I was going to be able to keep costs down while adding baby food to our grocery bill, when I came across the Kidsme Food Squeezer. With this handy baby feeding tool, you can use the fruits and vegetables you have to feed your baby without having to buy the bottles of puree from the store. That was quite appealing to me.

      So Wallace had some bananas as his inaugural meal.

      And he loved them!

      The food squeezer was so easy to load and use and Wallace loved chewing on it! I think this makes the transition so much easier on the baby. I’m hoping by slowly introducing new tastes he won’t be completely confused when I shove a spoon in his mouth. Then when he gets older he can hold it himself!

      I absolutely love this design and everything about this product. It’s easy to use and will help me save money.
